John and I started working on HumanStuff as a concept or hobby company a few years ago. In December of 2007, John and I made HumanStuff a reality and started by providing consulting services in the Twin Cities. We still have plans for developing products as well but that will be secondary to consulting.

HumanStuff is about software and people, because the two cannot be separated. Our mission of treating people with respect and dignity is not just words but a creed we live by every day. We cannot expect our employees to exceed the expectations of our customers, unless we first exceed the expectations of our employees.

Stephen Covey, the best selling author of The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, once said to “always treat your employees exactly as you want them to treat your best customers.” That’s what we are going to try to do, and the rest will work itself out.
